Day 2 of State Track brought us a few more medalists. Congrats to Chandler Weber 7th place in 8th Grade Girls Shot Put, Christopher Manriquez 4th place in 8th Grade Boys Shot Put with a PR of 38 feet 7 inches, and Eli Kapraun 8th place in 7th Grade Boys 200 meter dash with a PR of 26.37 seconds. Our 8th Grade Boys 4x200 (Christopher, Chris Held, Dylan Carls, and Eli) finished 9th just one spot off of medaling. Great Job Falcons!

The Fourth Grade class was able to participate in the "Adopt-a-calf" program through the St. Louis Dairy Council in conjunction with local dairy farmers. With this program, we learned a LOT about dairy, dairy cows, and dairy farming. We were also able to adopt a calf from the Mackinson Dairy Farm in rural Pontiac. We were given monthly updates and activities through Farmer Mackinson, which always included a picture that we added to a growth chart poster. Monday, we were able to visit Super Brownie and see her in person! She was very friendly and liked the attention! We also got a full tour of the Mackinson Dairy operation and ended with a treat of Prairie Farms ice cream and milk. YUM!! Thank you to the Mackinson Family for the tour, the treats, and for taking such good care of Super Brownie! 🐄🥛 Buy Prairie Farms! 🥰
