Students in Horticulture have been learning about plant anatomy and the internal and external structures of the different parts. They were able to see the inside of different stems during this lab and tell the difference between dicot and monocot plants! Science is cool!

The fourth grade students were treated to a special presentation today. Mr. Jeremy Duffy, the Deputy Director of the Illinois Association of School Boards came to share his photos and experiences from his travels around the world. He has been to ALL SEVEN continents and over 80 countries. His latest adventure was exploring and camping in Antarctica (so Mrs. Harms greeted him in her penguin costume. 🐧🤣)! We enjoyed the slideshow of amazing photos and finding the places on the classroom map, using our Social Studies skills. We had ocean punch and world cookies afterwards. A big THANK YOU to Mr. Duffy! 👍
