The Fourth grade classroom turned into "The Book Cafe" this morning where Mrs. Harms hosted a Book Tasting event. The students were "served" six different genres of books to "taste" by reading a page or 2. Then, they wrote their thoughts about the book and gave it a rating. We enjoyed tasting historical fiction, realistic fiction, fantasy, mystery, informational text, and biographies. It was a fun morning "dining" on books at The Book Cafe! 👩🍳🍽📚

Mrs. Harlan's 3rd Grade Class enjoyed their read aloud today from Dr. Hansen as they cooled off after recess.

Our Kindergarten , 1st, and 2nd Grade Students enjoyed a cool treat for completing their summer Reading and Math Packets. Thank you to Pontiac Dairy Queen for the generous donation.

Mrs. Hernandez's class spent a very hot, but very fun day in Leroy at Special Person Day! Thank you to everyone in Leroy who made this happen! The kids had a great time!

Come out and support the FCW Falcons football team tonight at 7 as they open the season at home! Freddy is so excited for Football Fridays!

Good Morning,
This is Flanagan Cornell Unit 74 superintendent Dr. Ryan Hansen.
For the morning of August 24th.
Due to the increasing temperature and humidity levels in the building, paired with the National Weather Service’s multiple heat warnings and advisories, the school district will again be dismissing students early at 10 am. Students' bus and pick up procedures will remain the same. If you wish your child to follow an alternative transportation or pick up procedure please contact either school building office. Students will also be given a sack lunch to take home if they wish.
