Dear Flanagan-Cornell Unit 74 Faculty, Staff, and Community Members, We are pleased to announce that Mr. Jeremy Heck has been selected as the next superintendent of Flanagan-Cornell Unit 74. Mr. Heck brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in education, including 14 years in school administration. For the past two years, he has served as both superintendent and principal of South Wilmington Grade School. He began his career as a teacher and coach, spending three years each at Woodland High School in South Streator and St. Anne High School. A native of the Kankakee area (Limestone Township), Mr. Heck currently resides there with his wife, a dedicated educator of 17 years in the Herscher School District. Together, they are raising three sons, ages 15, 12, and 6. Mr. Heck is eager to begin his work with the board, staff, and community to build upon the district’s strong foundation. His vision is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where every staff member, student, and parent feels valued and empowered in a safe and engaging learning atmosphere. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Mr. Jeremy Heck as he begins this exciting new chapter with Flanagan-Cornell Unit 74. Sincerely, Ryan Hansen

Our JH Student Council toured and learned about the Ronald McDonald House in Peoria. We took a huge collection of pop tabs to donate. The students shopped at Walmart to purchase items from Ronald McDonald House Wish List for needed supplies for the families living there while their child/children are at the Children's hospital.
