Excellent Work! FCHS High Honor Roll Quarter 3

Last Thursday, our Horticulture students had the opportunity to visit Jones Country Gardens and hear about their operation from Alum Chad Jones. Students learned about how their operation started and has progressed since then as well as how the plants are propagated, planted, and kept organized. We are very grateful Chad took time to show us around during his busy season!

We are now taking appointments for Preschool Screenings. Your student MUST attend a preschool screening prior to enrolling in preschool. Space is limited so call (815) 796-2261 today to get your screening scheduled.

Students in Consumer Education have been learning about taxes in class. Today they had to do Breakout Boxes to show their understanding of filling out a 1040 form. Every group was successful and "broke out"!

Last week Ag Science students completed an egg dissection lab. Students learned how to crack eggs open, identify the different parts of the egg, and how to cook eggs. 🥚🍳🐣🐔

Student of the Month

Mrs. Kleinert, Mrs. Trainor, and their Kindergarten classes invited the fourth graders to be their "Book Buddies" last Monday during reading time. This kicked off Dr. Seuss/Read Across America Week! They read books and ate green eggs and ham. It was a fun morning! 💚📚
