Course Description:

As a student in this course, you will learn the most important topics of Business Law. Various topics will be introduced, which include: law, justice, and you; special laws for special groups; contracts; using credit; working for others, and property laws.

Breakdown of Grade:

  • FOLDER ASSIGNMENT‑‑‑For each Chapter that is covered in class, each student will be required to complete and hand in a variety of documents that will represent important work covered in each of the chapters of each unit.  This FOLDER will be due on the day of a test over that unit. 
  • SPECIAL IN CLASS PROJECTS
  • TESTS AND QUIZZES
  • CLASS BEHAVIOR AND PARTICIPATION

What can you expect?
  • Classroom discussions, debates and other activities that require good verbal communication skills
  • Computer assignments which will allow you to practice the skils you have learned by using Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Movies, videos, and other supplemental materials

Week 10: Chapter 5 Test and Ethical Situations

  • Tuesday: Chapter 5 Test and Folder Due

Week 11: Chapter 6 Torts

Week 12: Chapter 6 Torts

  • Thursday: Chapter 6 Quiz and Folder due

Week 13: Finish ethical situations and begin Chapter 7 - Laws for Minors

Week 14: Chapter 9: Laws for Consumers

Week 15: Chapter 9 test and ethical situations
